An evergreen
mound of nearly constant light blue to violet-blue flowers. The
longest blooming perennial available. It likes cool times the
best, but also has scant blooms in the mid-summer's heat. It was
showy early in the season and was glorious well into December
of 1999 before a cold snap.
It is probably best to cut off the tangle of flower stalks and
spent flowers in mid-July to prepare for the great late-season
show. Requires good winter and spring drainage.
